Meadows

I like to say that you just have to stop mowing your lawn to create a meadow. There are a number of ways to make your property more ecologically friendly, but creating a meadow might be the easiest and one of the best, right up there with installing a water feature. Just turning 600 sq. feet of lawn into a meadow is not only amazing for the birds, bees reptiles and animals but also great for Photo Ops.

our meadow services

We offer a service to turn 600 sq feet of sunny lawn into a meadow. It is a 2 year project that costs $1700. The first year we seed a cover crop mixed with annuals to prep the soil, and the second year we seed/plants the perennials and grasses.

The cover crop is often clover mixed with cosmos and poppies. The second year we plants a combination of native perennials like Ironweed and amsonia(in the picture below) along with many other perennials like asters, black eyed susans and yarrow.
